Operational Managers

Neal Phillips is the technology expert at Cobra’s U.S. operations wing. With more than a decade of experience on the vendor side of eDiscovery, he has worked with some of the leading service providers in the Houston and Austin, Texas areas. He has held several managerial roles including Director of Client Services, Manager of Operations, and project management, which enabled him to gain a deep knowledge in eDiscovery.

He has worked extensively in the data processing and project management areas that involved millions of documents and TBs of data. He is also an expert in the use of industry leading tools like LAW PreDiscovery, Nuix, Relativity and Clearwell, as well as in-house tools such as, Concordance, Summation, Ringtail, and many others. Neal received academic and athletic scholarships to McNeese State University where he was a member of the football team and finished his studies at the University of Houston where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He is an avid outdoorsman, enjoys spending time with his family and coaching his children’’s’ youth sports teams.

Thirumaran takes care of the administration function at Cobra’s Chennai facility. He has twelve years of experience in budgeting, revenue recovery, recruitment, facility management services and business area administration. He has been a key administrative member in top banks and financial institutions such as Standard Chartered Bank, IndusInd Bank, and Mahindra Finance. Prior to joining Cobra, he has been the head of operations and general administration at Rising Star Outreach. He has a bachelor's degree in Commerce and General Laws, a master’s degree in Business Administration, a master’s degree in Finance and Control, and a post-graduate diploma in Computer Science.

Sayee heads the management information systems and accounting functions at Cobra’s Chennai facility. He has more than thirteen years of experience in corporate administration and accounting, out of which a decade was spent at leading banks like Citi Bank, ICICI Bank Ltd and HDFC Bank Ltd. He was the key member of the migration team for the Centurion Bank of Punjab, when HDFC took over the bank. Sayee has a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from University of Madras and a post-graduate degree in Management (Finance and Systems) from SCSVMV Deemed University, India.

Vijay heads the implementation and support operations at Cobra’s internal and customer-facing software and hardware infrastructures. Overseeing day-to-day operations, monitoring system performance, capacity planning and maintenance and resolution of end-user help requests are his work responsibilities. He is also in-charge of ensuring compliance to network and physical security policies at Cobra. Vijay is a Microsoft-certified Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer. Prior to working at Cobra, Vijay was a Senior Quality Specialist at RR Donnelly. Vijay came to Cobra from Rising Star Outreach where he was responsible for IT requirements and planning.

Nithya heads all of the HR functions at the Chennai Cobra office. Her scope of work includes recruitment, employee development and performance appraisals. She has close to a decade of experience as a HR personnel working with organizations like The New Indian Express, HCL Info solutions and Redington India. She has a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Madras and a master’s degree in Business Administration (Human Resources and Marketing) from the School of Management Studies.
